Who needs DECODE?

Anyone over 18 years old with a skin condition. Our practitioners will help you establish a baseline of key internal parameters and help guide you with your skin condition. Our mission is to minimize the use of antibiotics, corticosteroids, isotretinoins, and spironolactone while supporting the action of and minimizing symptoms from biologics in moderate to severe cases.

Where is DECODE available?

DECODE is currently available in the continental US in California, Florida, Illinois, Nevada, Texas and Washington. DECODE requires members to have a valid US address, US phone number and US identification (permanent residency).

Is Insurance involved?

We are committed to transparent pricing. DECODE.ME services and testing are not yet covered by insurance but are FSA/HSA eligible. We provide you with an itemized receipt for submitting to an FSA/HSA plan. Your prescriptions may be covered by insurance.

Can lab tests have errors?

On rare occasions, the answer is unfortunately yes. This is true of any diagnostic test. Results may be abnormal because you make a mistake taking your own sample, or if you forget to observe the conditions for the test (like fasting). Such abnormalities are why DECODE.ME establishes a baseline with a provider that you trust. By getting multiple snapshots over time and identifying trends in your skin condition, you can better understand the root cause inside your body and create a healthier future.

How long does it take to receive and process my diagnostic test?

Once you and your doctor decide on the correct diagnostic test and you purchase it, it will ship to your address within 5-7 business days. After you register the kit and return your samples to the lab, it will typically take 1-3 weeks to provide the data back to your provider on DECODE.

Is membership on DECODE.ME free?

Membership on DECODE.ME is free and you don’t need to purchase anything if you just want to track your skin condition. We will continue to introduce both free and paid features, diagnostics and education in the future.

DECODE is currently in beta.  What does that mean?

Beta means that there will be rapid changes (more tests and features added) and occasional bugs. Please be patient!
